Description

The Dubin Center supports individuals living with dementia and their family caregivers by providing education, information, hope, and compassion.

We are looking for volunteers who enjoy connecting with others and helping create a welcoming, engaging environment for individuals living with dementia. Volunteers will work alongside a Dubin Center social worker during one-hour activity sessions held while family caregivers participate in a support group.

The social worker will lead the session, with volunteers assisting and interacting with participants through conversation, games, puzzles, music, art, and other enjoyable dementia-friendly activities.

No previous dementia experience is necessary. We’ll provide the guidance you need to feel comfortable in your role. By giving just an hour of your time, you can help create a meaningful experience for someone living with dementia while giving their caregiver the opportunity to receive support, encouragement, and connection.
